The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad receives the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony at the Embassy

H.E. Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad, has received Honorable Mr. Noor ul Haq Qadri, Federal Minister of Religious Affairs and Inter-Faith Harmony, at the embassy headquarters on 4/11/2021 with presence of the Embassy Staff.

At the outset of the meeting, the Ambassador welcomed the guest and assured the spiritual importance of Iraq to the Pakistani People of all its sects, and stressed Iraq’s welcome to all Pakistani visitors, and gave him a briefing about the latest developments in the bilateral relationship between the two countries and the most important points of development in it. He also mentioned the efforts made by the Embassy in facilitating the process of granting entry visas to Pakistanis who visit the holy shrines in Iraq in Baghdad, Najaf and Holy Karbala.

For his part, the Honorable Minister thanked the Ambassador for the role played by the Embassy in facilitating communication between the two countries and the continuous progress of the bilateral relationship between the two countries, especially in the field of religious visits, and demanded an increase in the number of Pakistani visitors to Iraq who strongly desire to visit Iraq.
