The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad meets the Special Secretary for Middle East Affairs in Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
H.E. Ambassador Hamid Abbas Lafta met with Dr. Khalid Maimon, Special Secretary for Middle East Affairs at the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 2/8/2021.
The two sides discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries, stressing upon the upcoming visit of the Iraqi Foreign Minister to Pakistan and preparations for it.
The two sides discussed a number of files related to the Mission’s work, coordination and cooperation in various fields, including the issue of the religious visit to Iraq.
The two sides stressed upon the need to activate the Iraqi-Pakistani Joint Commission and to prepare for the signing of two Memorandums of Understanding in the field of political consultations, and the issue of exemption from entry visas for holders of diplomatic, service and special passports.
