Meeting of the Ambassador Hamid Abbas Lafta with the new Ambassador of Pakistan to Baghdad
H.E. Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta, the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad has received, on 8/7/2021, the newly designate Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Baghdad, Mr. Ahmed Amjad at the Embassy Headquarters.
The two sides had friendly conversation about bilateral relations that exist between the two brotherly countries. They discussed ways to achieve fruitful cooperation and communication between the foreign ministries of both countries. As Mr. Hamed Abbas indicated the depth of the relations that link the two countries and that he looks forward to promoting those relations to broader horizons by moving forward on the path of cooperation and the solid friendship relations that bind the two Missions of both countries. For his part, the Pakistani Ambassador expressed his happiness for assuming the assignments of his new posting as Ambassador of his country in Iraq, he has all the love and respect for it and for its People.
During the meeting, several files and topics of common interest, especially those related to the development of bilateral cooperation and joint coordination, have been discussed by setting up a mechanism that would organize the process of visits of Pakistani visitors to the holy shrines in Iraq, especially since the month of Muharram is at the doors.
