The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad receives the Chairman of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee.
H.E. Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta, the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad, on 30/06/2021, has received Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Chairman of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, at the embassy headquarters.
Various issues that fall within the tasks of security and defense and enhancement of the work of institutions have been discussed.
Both sides also discussed the current security incidents in Afghanistan and their impact on the regional and international situation, and Pakistan’s mediating role in resolving this deterioration.
The Ambassador expressed his country’s desire to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries, and to benefit from Pakistani skills, especially in the military aspect, in accordance with common interests.
At the end of the meeting, Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed expressed his pride in strengthening cooperation to serve the two friendly peoples.
