H.E. Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta / Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad received Senator Mrs. Baloch Khan, Member of Pakistani Senate from Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), accompanied by Mrs. Nafisa Shah Gilani / Member of the Pakistan National Assembly.
The two sides discussed issues of common interest and the ways of cooperation. His Excellency affirmed the Iraqi government’s keenness to promote bilateral relations to broader heights in a way that serves the interests of the two countries.
The two sides affirmed their country’s solidarity with the Palestinian People and the Palestinian cause, expressing their condemnation of acts of intimidation and sowing panic among the wounded Palestinian People, considering the Palestinian cause a major issue.
