Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad participates in the ceremony for receiving the first consignment of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) against Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad, Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta participated, on 13/3/2021, in the ceremony of receiving the first consignment of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) against Coronavirus (COVID-19), which were presented as a gift by the Government and People of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Government and People of the Republic of Iraq. The Ambassador delivered a speech on this occasion, expressing the Iraqi government’s thanks and appreciation to the People and Government of Pakistan for this historic stance, which will strengthen the bonds of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries. From Pakistani side, Dr. Khalid Hussain Memon, Special Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Middle East Affairs, and Lt. General Akhtar Nawaz, Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authirty of Pakistan Army, the donor of that aid, participated in the said event and expressed their pride in the bilateral relations between the two countries, considered that aid as a token of love and assistance from the Pakistani People to the friendly Iraqi People.
