The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad receives the President and members of the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vehari District.



  H.E. Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad, on 28/01/2021, has received Mr. Hafez Mahmoud Ahmed, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vehari, and a number of members of the Chamber at the Embassy.
Both sides discussed ways of cooperation and linkages with relevant Iraqi institutions in order to expand the horizons of economic exchange and develop the work of chambers of commerce and industry, in a way that strengthens economic partnership, and opens the door for cooperation with the public and private sectors.
During the meeting, the Ambassador made direct contact with a number of officials in the Iraqi Ministry of Industry and Minerals at the request of the President of the Chamber of Commerce to know the mechanism of importing vegetable crops and washing powders, as well as getting acquainted with the products of the Iraqi company for the manufacture and marketing of dates of all kinds.
  The two sides expressed their satisfaction for the realization of the desire for that joint cooperation, and agreed to provide facilities to the merchants of the two countries in coordination with the Federation of Chambers of Commerce.
