The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad meets the Chargé d’ Affairs of Syrian Arab Republic.
H.E. Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad, on 30/09/2020, met with Dr. Mazen Obaid, Chargé d’ Affairs of Syrian Arab Republic in Islamabad.
The two sides exchanged talks about the situation in Syria, and emphasized upon its stability and unity.
The two sides discussed the issue of regional and international interference and incursion of a number of countries in Syria, considering it violation of the sanctity of the country.
The two sides also indicated Iraq’s clear support for the unity and stability of Syria, the emphasis on joint efforts in combating the terrorist organization “ISIS” in both countries, and the continuous coordination between the Iraqi and Syrian military establishments to eliminate the remnants of this extremist organization.
