The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad meets with the Minister of Defense Production of Pakistan.
H.E Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad, on 24/9/2020, has met with Her Excellency the Minister of Defense Production, Mrs. Zubaida Jalal, at the Ministry’s headquarters.
At the beginning of the meeting, Her Excellency the Minister thanked the Ambassador for his interest and follow-up on the common issues related to the military side, while praising the courage and bravery of the Iraqi military establishment in defeating the terrorism.
The Ambassador conveyed the greetings of His Excellency the Iraqi Minister of Defense, pointing out that Pakistan is a fundamental and important partner, and is linked with Iraq by long-standing relations and common factors, like hard wars to counter terrorism. Stressing upon the necessity of joint cooperation in the field of defense production and making use of the accumulated experiences in both institutions according to common interests.
During this meeting, the Ambassador delivered the invitation letter from His Excellency Major General Juma’a Anad Al-Jabouri, the Iraqi Minister of Defense, to his Pakistani counterpart Mrs. Zubaida Jalal, who expressed her desire to accept the invitation at the scheduled time.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to continue with communication and pursue issues that would achieve mutual benefit.
