Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad receives the Ambassador of Switzerland.
H.E. Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad, on 26/8/2020, received the Ambassador of Swiss Confederation to Islamabad, Mr. Benedict de Cerjat, at the Embassy headquarters.
The two sides exchanged expressions of welcome and acquaintance during the discussion, and talked about the Mission’s workplace.
Mr. Benedict referred to the old civilization and history of Iraq, its People, its location and its wealth, which qualify it to become an influential force in the regional and international arena.
Mr. Benedict recalled his earlier visits to Iraq, given the importance and admiration of this country, referring to his previous work as Director of the Asia Department at the Swiss Foreign Ministry.
The two sides called for intensifying mutual visits that would achieve the common interests of the two countries.
