Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad receives the Ambassador of the Republic of Lebanon
H.E. Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad, received, on 24/8/2020, the Ambassador of the Republic of Lebanon in Islamabad, Mr. Vazken Kavlakian, at the embassy headquarters in Islamabad.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador welcomed this visit, through which both sides reviewed developments and events linking the two friendly countries, and their efforts to achieve economic development, and discussed opportunities to expand relations in all fields.
The Ambassador pointed out that Lebanon is an essential partner and is linked with Iraq by common factors, affirming the solidarity of the Iraqi People and Government with Lebanon, the People and the Government to overcome the effects of the recent incident in the port of Beirut.
Mr. Vazken Kavlakian expressed his appreciation for the warm reception, appreciating the assistance provided by the Iraqi Government in this regard.
