Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad meets the Head of the Middle East Department at the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
H.E Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad, on 19/8/2020, paid a courtesy call upon Mr. Zahid Raza, Head of the Middle East Department at the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The two sides discussed the files related to the mission’s assignments and ways to facilitate them at a time when there is need for more coordination and cooperation in various fields, including the issue of the religious visit, and the new mechanism for this seasonal visit, because of its importance and sacredness for Pakistani citizens.
Mr. Zahid Raza expressed his country’s desire to develop and strengthen its relations with Iraq at various levels, stressing upon the need to activate the Joint Iraqi-Pakistani Commission.
