The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad participates in the initiative launched by the Pakistani government to plant 10 billion trees.



Based on the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs directive for participation of all diplomatic missions in Islamabad on 9/8/2020, in the initiative launched by the Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan to plant (10) billion trees over the next five years in Pakistan, to curb with high temperatures and threats related to climate change, in addition to providing opportunities for unemployed workers to earn daily wages.
The mission participated in this initiative by planting a number of seedlings, while submitting a report via a short video clip in this regard, as per their request.
