The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq extends condolences to the Ambassador of the Republic of Lebanon in Islamabad.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad, Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta, and a number of embassy staff visited the Lebanese Embassy in Islamabad on Monday 10/8/2020 to offer condolences for the tragic incident in the port of the capital Beirut last Tuesday.
The Ambassador presented his sincere condolences and sympathy to the People and Government of the Republic of Lebanon, calling upon the Almighty Allah to bless the martyrs with his vast mercy, and to bless the wounded with a speedy recovery.
Mr. Ambassador affirmed the solidarity of the People and Government of Iraq with Lebanon, its People and the Government
(and assured the readiness of the official Iraqi institutions to provide whatever support is possible to overcome the effects of the recent incident in the port of Beirut).
The Lebanese Ambassador, Mr. Vazken Kavlakian, expressed his appreciation for the visit, appreciating the assistance provided by the Iraqi government in this regard.
