Meeting of the Ambassador with the Executive Director of Pakistan Airlines.
H.E. Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad met with the Executive Director of Pakistan Airlines (PIA), Mr. Arshad Malik, at his office on 6/8/2020.The two sides exchanged words of welcome and courtesy at the beginning of the meeting.
During the meeting, His Excellency affirmed that the Iraqi-Pakistani relations have a long history and that the joint responsibility leads us to establishing and strengthening the fraternal, economic and diplomatic ties that deepen into the history in a way that brings the two countries closer and brings mutual benefit, stressing upon the need for cooperation in the field of tourism and transportation, especially with regard to the transportation of Pakistani visitors from Pakistan to Iraq and providing ways of comfort and safety with wages commensurate with the financial capabilities of citizens. His Excellency also indicated the importance of cooperation between the relevant institutions and the benefit from mutual experiences.
On his part, Mr. Arshad Malik stressed upon his fully preparedness to cooperate with Iraq in a way that serves the interests of both parties, and to work to achieve fruitful cooperation in the field of tourism and transportation.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Arshad Malik thanked the Ambassador for giving him the opportunity to meet him, wishing him success in his new duties as Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Pakistan.
