Meeting of the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq with the Pakistani Chief of Army Staff
H.E. Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta, the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad met with General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, on Wednesday 15/7/2020, at the General Headquarters.
The Ambassador conveyed the greetings of the leadership of the Iraqi Armed Forces to the Pakistani side, expressing his thanks for the efforts made to provide an opportunity for Iraqi military officers to participate in the advanced training courses held by the Pakistani Ministry of Defense to enhance and develop military experiences of the Iraqi side, stressing upon the importance of upgrading the level of bilateral relations in all aspects, including raising the level of historical and fraternal relations between the two countries.
On his part, General Javed welcomed the Ambassador and congratulated him on his assumption of the duties as Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad, wishing him success and achievement in strengthening bilateral relations to serve the two countries, stressing upon the Pakistani side’s permanent support to Iraq in the military, economic and technical cooperation in addition to other aspects.
