The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad meets with the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. 17 Jul Uncategorized 51 H.E Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta, the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad, has met with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Nadeem Raza, on 16/7/2020, at its headquarters.The Ambassador conveyed the greetings of the Iraqi Armed Forces, expressing his thanks for the efforts made by the Pakistani side regarding training and developing the skills of Iraqi officers trained in the various military courses held by the Pakistani military.Referring to the upcoming visit of Lieutenant General (Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah), Chief of Army Staff of the Republic of Iraq, to Pakistan, during the beginning of next year.The Ambassador expressed its country’s desire for joint cooperation between the two countries, and to benefit from Pakistani experiences, especially on the military side, in accordance with common interests. General Nadeem Raza expressed his willingness to provide all kinds of support, explaining important prospects that will be achieved in the near future for the benefit of both sides, expressing at the same time the display of all military products of heavy and light weapons, and the possibility of joint manufacturing with the Iraqi Ministry of DefenseAt the end of the meeting, General Nadeem Raza expressed his desire to visit Iraq at the earliest possible as two friendly countries enjoy the religious, social, and historical ties.
