Acting Chargé d’ Affairs in the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad meets the President International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI).

The Acting Chargé d’ Affairs Counselor Mr. Abdulsalam Saddam Muheisen met on 21/10/2019, with Prof. Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh, President of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) at the university’s chancellery.

The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the Iraqi universities and their Pakistani counterparts to serve the students segment to complete their educational career. Mr. Darwish pointed out that the Islamic University is one of the largest universities that have contributed to the education of Pakistani society since its establishment in the early eighties with the support of the governments of some Muslim countries and thus became the University referred to as constructor.

On the other side, the Acting Chargé d’ Affairs assured that the Iraqi Embassy will communicate with the relevant Iraqi authorities in order to coordinate with them regarding the continuation of communication between the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its Pakistani counterpart to reach a joint mechanism that will open educational channels to serve the students.
