Acting Chargé d’ Affairs in the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad meets the Deputy Chairman of Senate of Pakistan.
The Acting Chargé d’ Affairs Counselor Mr. Abdul Salam Saddam Muheisen, on Tuesday 8/10/2019, met the Deputy Chairman of Senate of Pakistan, Mr. Saleem Mandiwala. During the meeting that held at the Pakistani Parliament in Islamabad, the two sides discussed the situation of the two countries and their common interests and risks, and reviewed aspects of bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them in various fields.
On his part, the Deputy Chairman of Senate of Pakistan said that Pakistan attaches a great importance to its relations with Iraq and its People.
On the other hand, the Deputy Chairman Senate expressed his expectation for acceptance of the invitation extended to Honorable Speaker of the Iraqi House of Representatives Mr. Mohammed Halbousi to visit Pakistan in order to discuss issues of common interest and parliamentary relations between the Pakistani Senate and the Iraqi House of Representatives, and ways to activate the parliamentary friendship committee between the two countries.
