Important Announcement: Opening of the Electronic Appointment Booking System for February 2026

To the esteemed members of the Iraqi community within the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of the Republic of Iraq in Frankfurt,
Warm greetings…

The Consulate General of the Republic of Iraq in Frankfurt announces the opening of the electronic pre-booking appointment system for the issuance of electronic passports, exclusively for the month of February 2026.
The system will open on Monday, 26 January 2026, at 10:00 a.m., via the official link below:

Exceptional measures to serve you:

In order to accommodate the largest possible number of applicants and to facilitate the completion of their transactions, the following measures have been decided:
• Extension of official working hours: Office hours will continue until 5:00 p.m.
• Increase in capacity: The daily appointment limit has been raised to 100 appointments per day, thanks to the additional efforts of our consular staff.

Clarification regarding the appointment system (One-Month Policy):

The Consulate General wishes to inform you that limiting appointments to one month only, instead of opening the system for longer periods, is a necessary organizational and preventive measure, for the following reasons:
1. Reducing unrealistic appointments: It has recently been observed that some appointments are booked under the names of individuals who do not actually attend, or that bookings are repeatedly made using the same name and email address. This results in the loss of genuine opportunities for citizens who are in urgent need of completing their transactions.
2. Preventing the accumulation of distant appointments: Opening the system for extended periods technically leads to appointments being deferred to far-future dates (reaching up to the year 2027), whereas the current measure aims to ensure that transactions are completed within a near and clearly defined timeframe.
3. Ensuring fairness and transparency: This system guarantees that services reach their rightful recipients and prevents misuse of the appointment booking system, thereby achieving a balance between supply and demand.

Very important notes:
• Accuracy of information: The Consulate General urges applicants to use a personal phone number and email address (or those of an immediate family member only).
• Automatic cancellation: Any appointment found to involve contact details that do not belong to the concerned applicant, or repeated bookings using fictitious data, will be automatically cancelled.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us provide the best possible consular services in a manner befitting our valued citizens.

With highest respect and appreciation.
