The Consul General of the Republic of Iraq in Detroit inaugurates the electronic passport issuance system.
In line with the government’s Service Government program, the directives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs leadership, and the recommendations of the Ambassadors’ Conference, which called for improving the quality of consular services provided to members of the Iraqi community,
The Consul General of the Republic of Iraq in Detroit, Mr. Mohammed Hassan Saeed Mohammed, inaugurated the Iraqi (electronic) passport issuance system on Monday, December 16, 2024, after the completion of technical procedures. The inauguration was attended by a number of citizens who had applied for passports. The system began issuing passports immediately upon its opening, granting them electronic passports.
The inauguration of the system was well-received by members of the community, who expressed their pleasure at this service achievement achieved by the consulate in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
For his part, the Consul General emphasized that the Services Government, headed by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, is working to overcome obstacles, provide services to citizens, improve work mechanisms, and facilitate and simplify procedures.
At the conclusion of the inauguration and activation of the system, the Consul General expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Interior delegation who attended the installation and operation of the electronic passport issuance system, for their service and dedication. He also thanked the entire consular mission staff for their tireless efforts to serve the dear community, urging them to maintain the quality of work and level of service at the consulate.
