Ambassador Al-Rikabi meeting with director general of immigration at the Belgian ministry of interior

  Ambassador Sadiq Al-Rikabi met with the Director General of the Belgain Immigration Department (Mr.Freddy Rossemont) and the Iraqi desk officer (Ms Myriam ESSIAF) at the Belgian Ministry of Interior premises On 16/8/2019.The two sides discussed issues of immigration, asylum, and challenges faced by both countries in that respect, also discussed possible ways to address the difficulties faced by Iraqi expatriates living in Belgium. Ambassador Al-Rikabi  also emphasized the Iraqi government position of voluntary repatriation of refugees to their countries of origin  and also the importance of adhering to  international agreements related to human rights .   At the end of the meeting, Mr. Rossemont thanked the Ambassador for his visit and his interest in refugee affairs
