Ambassador Sadiq Al-Rikabi met with EEAS Managing Director for Middle East at the HQ OF European External Action Service

Ambassador Sadiq Al-Rikabi met on  3/12/2019 with EEAS Managing Director for Middle East at the HQ of European External Action Service (EEAS) Mr. Fernando Gentilini. Both sides discussed the cooperation between EU and Iraq and the significance of activation the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA) between Iraq and the European Union.

During the meeting, Ambassador Al-Rikabi stressed about the EU and its significance to increase the efforts to support Iraq in achieving the economic stabilization by investing in the private sector.

Both sides also discussed the latest political developments in Iraq and the measures taken by the Iraqi government in response to protesters demand to achieve the social justice.

Ambassador Al-Rikabi assured that Iraq is committed to achieve a balanced foreign policy that serves international and regional security and peace based on the principles of good neighbourhoods and cooperation in order to achieve common interests.
