Ambassador Al-Rikabi meets a delegation from the European Bank Investment in Brussels

Ambassador Sadiq Al-Rikabi received on 29/11/2019, at the Embassy In Brussels  a delegation from the European Bank Investment  EIB headed by Mr. Edvardas Bumsteinas / head of Asia department

The two sides discussed possible ways to resume negotiations of the proposed framework agreement between Iraq and EIB. Ambassodar Al-Arikabi reaffirmed Iraqi government keenness to move forward to reach an agreeable agreement for both sides which will contribute to put the partnership & cooperation agreement (PCA) between Iraq and EU into practice 

In response Mr. Bumsteinas  highlighted the importance of Iraq to the EU and expressed readiness to resume negotiations.

At the end of the meeting the visiting delegation thanked Amb Al-Rikabi for receiving them at the embassy and for the  hospitality and both sides agreed to have another meeting to discuss the framework agreement in depth.

The meeting was attended by Minister Plenipotentiary Dr Fadhil Al-Raheem   and Third-Secretary Ms.Raghda AL-dawoodi
