Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives Copy of the Credentials of New Ambassador of the Netherlands to Iraq
On Tuesday 6th Sep, 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Fuad Hussein, received a copy of the credentials of Mr Johannes Leendert Sandee, the new ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Iraq. During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations between Baghdad and The Hague, and means to support them in a way that would enhance the common interests and confronts the common risks between the two countries.
The Minister wished the Ambassador success in his tasks in Baghdad, expressing the readiness of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide all support to the diplomatic mission to increase cooperation in various fields, extending the Iraqi people’s thanks and appreciation for the Dutch government’s stances in support of Iraq.
On his part, the Dutch ambassador affirmed his country’s continued support for Iraq in the coming stage, and the Dutch side’s aspiration to deepen the joint cooperation between the two countries, revealing the existence of cooperation in several fields, including water management, benefiting from experiences in the agricultural sector, and organizing visits for university professors to visit the Dutch educational institutions and send students to study there, adding “ we are working to establish training courses for Iraqi diplomats at a high level in cooperation with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
