Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs meets his Jordanian counterpart in Abu Dhabi
On Saturday, 5/11/2022, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Fouad Hussein, met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Mr. Ayman Safadi, in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, on the sidelines of his participation in the work of the thirteenth session of the Forum Sir Bani Yas, which is organized by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance them. Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein presented a summary of the political developments in Iraq, the formation of the new Iraqi government and the features of the next phase, expressing his optimism and Iraq’s aspiration to support neighboring countries and its quest for continued openness and cooperation with its Arab and regional surroundings.
The two sides looked forward to the continuation of the joint cooperation that was agreed upon during the previous Iraqi governments, and the two sides agreed to hold a meeting within the tripartite coordination mechanism (Iraq, Egypt, Jordan) with the participation of the Gulf states early next year.
