Foreign Minister Meets Lord Ahmed of Wimbledon, Secretary of State for Commonwealth Affairs and United Nations at British Foreign Office
Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Lord Ahmed of Wimbledon, Secretary of State for Commonwealth Affairs, and the United Nations at the British Foreign Office. During the meeting they reviewed the progress of bilateral relations between Baghdad and London, and ways to strengthen them to serve the interests of the two friendly countries, in addition to discussing regional developments, and the tensions that it is exposed to and its effect on the world since the area represents a vital channel that supplies the world with energy, stressing the importance of concerted efforts and cooperation to enhance the security and stability of the region, support Iraq in the reconstruction of infrastructure, exchange visits between officials of the two countries, and open new prospects for joint cooperation.
