Foreign Minister Meets his Serbian Counterpart Ivica Dačić

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with his Serbian counterpart Mr. Ivica Dačić, the two Ministers discussed efforts to strengthen joint cooperation in all fields and ways to achieve interests between Baghdad and Belgrade.

Minister Alhakim expressed Iraq’s aspiration to develop and strengthen relations at the highest levels, and to benefit from the expertise available to Belgrade for the benefit of both countries, calling on Serbian companies to invest in Iraq, especially infrastructure and reconstruction projects.

The two Ministers also discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest and the importance of continuing consultation and coordination on common issues.
