Iraq’s Chargé d’affaires in Tbilisi Receives Orthodox Church Metropolitan of Akhalkalaki and Kumurdo

Iraq’s Chargé d’affairs Mr. Omar Sami received the Orthodox Metropolitan of Akhalkalaki and Kumurdo at the embassy, His Eminence, Nikoloz Pachuashvili.

The Chargé d’affaires welcomed this visit and expressed the embassy’s readiness to provide possible support, in preparation for the exchange of visits between the guests of the holy shrines of all religions and sects.

On his part, His Eminence touched on the sacred and historical landmarks of Iraq, and the sacred links that bind them with those shrines in general and Christians in particular, and expressed his interest in visiting those places in the future.
