The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Brussels Receives Head of Iraqi-Belgian Friendship Committee in the Belgian Parliament

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Brussels, Mr. Sadeq Al-Rikabi received the Chairman of the Iraqi-Belgian Friendship Committee in the Belgian Chamber of Deputies Mr. Georges Dallemagne.

The bilateral relations between the two sides were discussed, and the results of the visit of the Belgian Foreign Minister, Mr. Philippe Goffin to Baghdad as part of his first tour in the Middle East region since his appointment as Foreign Affairs and Defense Minister in the Belgian interim government.

Ambassador Al-Rikabi confirmed that Iraq seeks to enhance its relations with the Kingdom of Belgium, especially in the areas of construction, investment and capacity building.

Mr. Dallemagne expressed the importance of this visit in strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, and the continued cooperation in combating terrorism, in addition to cooperation in solving the issue of foreign terrorists, prosecuting them, or returning them to their countries.
