The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Moscow Meets Head of Union Council Committee for Science, Education and Culture

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Moscow Dr. Abdul Rahman Hamid Al-Husseini met in the presence of the cultural attache, with the chairperson of the Federation Council Committee for Science, Education and Culture, Senator Elia Komerova at the headquarters of the Federation Council.
The Ambassador thanked the Russian side for hosting Iraqi students in Russian universities, and invited the Head of the Union Council Committee for Science, Education and Culture for joint cooperation to solve the problems that face the Iraqi students studying in the Russian Federation, such as cases of fraud and extortion they are exposed to from companies working in the field of academic invitations and the problem of not allowing Iraqi students in Russia to take their families with them was discussed, because they were not granted entry permits, and the negative implications.
As for the cooperation between the two countries in the field of culture, excavation and preservation of antiquities, the ambassador expressed Iraq’s desire to increase cooperation between the two countries in this field
The Head of the Union Council Committee for Science, Education and Culture affirmed her country’s support for cooperation with Iraq in the field of culture by providing consultations in all aspects related to excavation of antiquities, or cooperation between Iraqi and Russian museums, as well as sending invitations to Iraqi specialists to participate in conferences, seminars, and cultural exhibitions heldin Russia.
