The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Helsinki Meets Finnish Foreign Minister
The Ambassador of Iraq in Helsinki Mr. Mathil Dhaif Al-Sabti, met with the Finnish Foreign Minister, Mr. Pekka Haavisto, at the headquarters of the Finnish Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, issues of common concern were discussed, and the minister inquired about the decision taken by the Iraqi parliament to remove foreign forces from Iraqi lands, and what is the official position on the presence of Finnish military consultants involved in the process of solid determination (OIR), and the response of the Ambassador was that these inquiries would be conveyed to Iraqi government. The Minister stressed the continuation of bilateral relations in the interest of the two friendly countries and peoples.
At the end of the meeting, the Finnish Foreign Minister thanked the ambassador for the meeting and discussed issues of cooperation and friendship between the governments and peoples of the two countries.
On his part the ambassador thanked the Finnish side, hoping that there will be future meetings to develop bilateral relations between the two countries.
