The Deputy Head of Organizations and Conferences Department Chairs Coordination Meeting between WFP Office and the Foreign, Interior and Trade Ministries

The deputy head of the International Organizations and Conferences Department Mr. Ali Hilal chaired the coordination meeting between the WFP office in Baghdad and the Iraqi Foreign, Interior and Trade Ministries on the project of automating the ration card system in Iraq.

The meeting discussed ways to ensure the success of this project, as it provides an important, up-to-date database and a mechanism for linking civil information departments with the Ministry of Trade to obtain the information available for the best results. The meeting also discussed the role of the World Food Program in sponsoring this project to overcome obstacles through coordination with the Foreign and Trade Ministries in this regard.

The meeting concluded that there was an agreement to hold a technical meeting to lay out the basic lines of the project, study the needs and requirements for its completion.
