Iraqi Ambassador to Athens Meets Head of the Department of Education and Culture Affairs at the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq Mr. Shoresh Khalid Saeed met with Ambassador Papameletiiou Loannis, Head of the Department of Education and Culture at the Greek Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, ways of developing them, cooperation in the rehabilitation of archaeological areas in Iraq with countries with expertise in this field, and the importance of Greece support in the framework of the maintenance of libraries and archaeological sites that have been sabotaged by Da’esh terrorist organization, in addition to  support for the nomination of representatives between the two countries and the continued work of the Greek team in the field of archeology.

Ambassador Shoresh presented the priorities of the educational, scientific and cultural cooperation program and completed all necessary procedures to sign the proposed cooperation program between the two countries.
