Foreign Minister Meets his Finnish Counterpart

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohammed A. Alhakim met with Finnish Foreign Minister Mr. Pekka Haavisto on the sidelines of the Small Group Meeting of the Global Coalition in Washington.

Minister Alhakim expressed Baghdad’s keenness to strengthen relations with Finland, calling for the importance of working to achieve bilateral cooperation in the field of trade exchange and attract Finnish investments to the Iraqi market, as well as to intensify work towards exploring new prospects of joint cooperation in various fields.

The two sides also discussed the developments of issues of common concern and stressed the importance of advancing political solutions that achieve security and stability in the region.
