Foreign Minister Receives Ambassador of Holy See

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Ambassador of the Holy See, Mr. Alberto Ortega on the occasion of ending his tenure in Baghdad.

During the meeting, they discussed the progress of relations between Iraq and the Holy See, and ways to strengthen them, Minister Alhakim stressed Baghdad’s keenness to activate the common interests in various fields, wishing Mr. Ortega success in his diplomatic post , praising the distinguished role, and the efforts he made in his work in Baghdad. The meeting was attended by the Head of Europe Department, Ambassador Ismail Shafiq, and the Chief of Protocol Department.
