The Representation of Republic of Iraq at United Nations Geneva Office Reviews its Seventh Periodic Report on Discrimination against Women

The Representation of the Republic of Iraq to the United Nations in Geneva reviewed the seventh periodic report on discrimination against women. The Iraqi delegation was headed by Ambassador Dr. Hussein Mahmoud Al Khatib Permanent Representative of Iraq in Geneva.

The report outlined achievements and steps taken by the Iraqi government to eliminate all forms of discrimination against women, highlighting the leadership role played by women, and how the constitution and laws ensured the equal rights of men and women.

The delegation answered all the questions of the rapporteurs who praised the delegation’s performance the achievement of Iraqi women.
