Palestinian President Awards Ambassador Al-Suhail the “Alquds Star” for her Role in Strengthening Relations between Iraq and Palestine

Palestinian President Mr. Mahmoud Abbas awarded Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Palestine, Mrs. Safia Taleb Al-Suhail the “Alquds Star” for her efforts to strengthen relations between Iraq and Palestine.

 During the ceremony held at the residence of the President in Amman, the President expressed appreciation for the role played by Ambassador Al-Suhail in the development of bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and the support for the Palestinian issue and its just cause for freedom and independence during her tenure as non-resident Ambassador to Iraq to the State of Palestine.

 On her part, Mrs. Alsuhail expressed her thanks to the President for this honor, which comes on the occasion of  completion of her duties as Ambassador of Iraq to the Kingdom of Jordan and Palestine and stressed that Iraq’s official and popular stance is always in the interest of the Palestinian issue and the legitimate rights of its people which in recent period had culminated in high-level official visits of a delegation headed by Prime Minister Mohammad Ashtiyeh.
