Iraqi Ambassador in Cairo Meets Egyptian Minister of Higher Education
The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Cairo and its Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Dr. Ahmed Nayef Al-Dulaimi, met with the Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar, at the headquarters of the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities at Cairo University, and discussed with him ways of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of higher education and research and the preparations for the holding of the Iraqi-Egyptian Higher Joint Committee.
During the meeting, the Ambassador raised the problem of 30 Iraqi students who applied for admission to the Faculty of Medicine at Cairo University and obtained primary admission but the college refused their application. The Minister promised Minister to solve their problem expressing confidence in the diligence of the Iraqi student and excellence in all fields.
Minister Abdel-Ghaffar affirmed the depth of the historical relations between the two countries, pointing out Egypt’s keenness to activate and increase the means of cooperation between the two sides in all fields.
The minister also stated that he will provide all aspects of support for Iraqi students in Egyptian universities, and to overcome all obstacles facing them during their study in Egypt, stressing the ministry’s keenness to provide the best environment for international students studying in Egyptian universities and institutes.
