The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Canada Meets Head of NATO Mission in Iraq

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Canada Mr. Wadhi  Betti met with  General Jennie Carignan, the new commander of the NATO Training Mission in Iraq at the Canadian Defense Ministry. During the meeting they discussed the security situation in Iraq and the work of the NATO training mission in Iraq and ways to enhance joint cooperation in military fields between the two countries, General Carignan praised the friendly relations between Iraq and Canada stressing that the success of the mission is a success for Iraq as well.

On his part, the Ambassador thanked Canada for its supportive positions to Iraq and the security forces, stressing the importance of deepening cooperation in the security and military field.
