Iraq’s Diplomatic Missions Abroad Continues to Celebrate 100 Anniversary of Foreign Ministry’s Founding and Victory Day

The diplomatic and consular missions of the Republic of Iraq continued to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Foreign Ministry’s Founding and the Victory Day which took place on December 10, 2024. Several celebratory events were organized in the Iraqi embassies and missions in Copenhagen, Ottawa, The Hague, and the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Iraq in New York, in addition to the Kingdom of Sweden, New Delhi, the Consulate General of the Republic of Iraq in Montreal, and Abuja.

The events included speeches delivered by the heads of missions on behalf of the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein, where they stressed that “the 100 Anniversary represents a historical moment that embodies Iraq’s efforts to strengthen its international relations and consolidate its position.” The events also included the screening of documentaries highlighting the journey of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry, in the presence of members of the Iraqi community and members of the Arab and foreign diplomatic community.
