Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein Holds a Joint Press Conference with his Czech Counterpart in Prague

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein held a joint press conference with his Czech counterpart Mr. Jan Lipavský, on Friday, October 18, 2024. At the Czech Foreign Ministry’s headquarters in Prague.

The conference was attended by a number of Czech and international media outlets, where the two Ministers reviewed the outcomes of Minister Fuad Hussein’s productive visit to Prague.

In his speech during the conference, Minister Hussein extended his thanks to the Czech Republic for its continuous support for Iraq across various fields, he also stressed the importance of joint work to calm the situation in the Middle East, and avoid the expansion of the scope of conflict to other countries.

The Minister indicated the need to coordinate stances between the two countries, and exchange support in nominations within international organizations. Minister Hussein also affirmed Iraq’s interest in benefiting from the expertise of the Czech companies in the fields of clean energy and water management, and facing the impact of climate change, in view of the drought impacts Iraq is experiencing.
