Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Receives Copy of Credentials of Canada’s  Ambassador to Iraq

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein, received a copy of the credentials of the new Canadian Ambassador to Iraq Mr. Christopher Boehm, on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. 

The Minister welcomed Ambassador Boehm, underlining the importance of the bilateral relations between the two countries, and the need to strengthen and develop them across various fields, especially in the economic and commercial sectors. In addition to, Minister Hussein stressed Iraq’s keenness to advance mutual cooperation for the interests of both countries.

On his part, Ambassador Boehm affirmed his commitment to continue supporting the distinguished relations between Iraq and Canada, and work to develop them in the next stage. 

At the end of the meeting Minister Fuad Hussein emphasized the Foreign Ministry’s readiness to provide all necessary facilities to support the Ambassador’s tasks and ensure his success in performing his new duties .
