Chargé d’Affaires in Caracas Meets Venezuelan Deputy Foreign Minister

The Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Republic of Iraq to Venezuela Minister Plenipotentiary Khalid Zangana met with Venezuelan Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Asia, Middle East Ms. Tatiana Pugh Moreno at the headquarters of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting the Chargé d’Affaires offered congratulations on the occasion of the re-election of President Nicolas Maduro. On her part Deputy Foreign Minister Moreno, expressed her country’s willingness to arrange a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein, and Venezuelan Foreign Minister Mr. Ivan Gil, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The two sides also highlighted the bilateral relations between Iraq and Venezuela which extends for more than seven decades, and emphasized the importance of updating and activating the agreements and memorandums of understanding signed between the two countries in the fields of oil, energy, economy, trade, culture, and security, in a way that achieves the interests of the two friendly peoples.
