Head of Europe Department Meets Finnish Ambassador to Iraq

The Head of Europe Department Ambassador Bakr Ahmed Al Jaff met with Ambassador of Finland in Baghdad Anu Saarela, and the Finnish Consul Ms. Pia Hellen, at the Foreign Ministry’s headquarters on September 19, 2024. And during the meeting they discussed ways to develop bilateral relations between the two countries, as well the importance of holding a round of political consultations between Iraq and Finland, which will further contribute to enhancing cooperation across various fields. The invitation to Iraq to participate in the Helsinki Policy Forum was also discussed, given its great importance and for providing a platform for exchanging views on recent developments in the Middle East. Additionally, they reviewed cooperation in the field of consular affairs between both sides .
