Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Cairo Discusses Enhancing Academic Cooperation with Egyptian Minister of Higher Education

Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Cairo and the Permanent Representative to the Arab League Dr. Qahtan Taha Khalaf, met with the Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Ayman Ashour, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Higher Education in the Administrative Capital. The meeting dealt with a number of issues related to academic cooperation and scientific research, in addition to ways of enhancing bilateral relations in various scientific fields. Both sides also underlined the obstacles facing Iraqi students studying in Egypt, with a focus on the problem of delayed complementary procedures, and working to overcome these obstacles. The discussions also touched on ways to enhance academic cooperation between Iraqi universities and their Egyptian counterparts, and open new areas of cooperation between the two sides.
