Head of International Organizations and Conferences Department Meets Head of International Committee of Red Cross Delegation in Iraq

The Acting Head of International Organizations and Conferences Department Dr. Fadel Al Rahim met with Mr. Ikhtiyar Aslanov on the occasion of assuming his duties as Head of delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Iraq. The meeting reviewed the activities of ICRC office in Iraq, in addition to exchanging views on enhancing cooperation and coordination between the relevant national authorities and the ICRC to meet the agreed goals between the two sides. Additionally Dr. Al Rahim expressed his appreciation for the humanitarian assistance and technical expertise provided by the ICRC, especially in the field of identification of the victims and missing persons.

On his part Mr. Aslanov commended the support received by the relevant Iraqi authorities, which enables the delegation to perform its tasks in accordance with the specified responsibilities.
