Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Meets U.S. Senior Advisor for Energy and Investment and Deputy Assistant to the President 

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein met with US Senior Advisor for Energy and Investment and Deputy Assistant to the President Mr. Amos J. Hochstein, on Friday, July 12, 2024, in Washington. 

The meeting dealt with the Iraq-US relations across various fields, including future security and military ties. Both parties also discussed the security and regional situation, in addition to the Iraqi delegation’s meeting with representatives of the US Treasury Department, they also touched on Iraq’s role in mediating between Turkey and Syria and the restoration of relations between them.
