Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Meets American and International Media at Iraqi Embassy in Washington

The Iraqi Embassy in Washington hosted a number of US and international media outlets representatives, at an expanded meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, on Friday, July 12, 2024.

Minister Fuad Hussein gave a comprehensive presentation on Iraq’s participation in the NATO summit held in Washington, DC, stressing the pivotal role played by Iraq on international security issues. His Excellency also discussed the developments in Iraq-U.S. relations, in addition to the most prominent milestones it recently witnessed, affirming the partnership between the two countries.

Speaking at the attending journalists Minister Hussein reviewed several important regional and international issues, highlighting Iraq’s continuous efforts to enhance security and stability in the region, and its effective contribution in combating terrorism and extremism.

The Minister stressed that such meetings enhance mutual understanding and convey a clear insight of Iraqi foreign policy and its future orientations, affirming the significance of dialogue and cooperation in facing common challenges.
