Ambassador of Republic of Iraq to Egypt Meets Speaker of Arab Parliament

Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Cairo and its Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Dr. Qahtan Taha Khalaf, met with the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Mr. Adel bin Abdulrahman Al Asoumi, at the Parliament headquarters in Cairo.

During the meeting Ambassador Khalaf, stressed Iraq’s keenness to strengthen relations with all Arab countries and benefit from the expertise and capabilities of Iraq and its Arab brothers, in a way that achieves mutual interest for all parties, indicating that Iraq has become a highly attractive destination for investment, due to the stability and security it is witnessing, in addition he expressed Iraq’s readiness to welcome  Arab companies to invest in various projects, especially in infrastructure projects.

Additionally, The Ambassador draw attention to the importance of the pivotal and important role that Iraq was and still is playing in Converging the views of the regional parties, which reflects the status and importance of Iraq and its relentless pursuit of security and stability in the region.

On his part, the Speaker of the Arab Parliament welcomed the Ambassador, wishing him success in his work, and affirming the Parliament’s full support for Iraq and its endeavor to strengthen its relations with its Arab surroundings, especially in light of Iraq’s hosting of the next Arab Summit, scheduled to be held in 2025.
